The Answers You Need
ARE YOU A MOBILE NOTARY, AND WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Being a mobile notary means that we travel to you to act as your notary. We are based in Madison County, but can travel to surrounding areas. We can travel to Jackson, Limestone or Morgan counties for an additional fee. Driving to meet you at your home, office, hospital, nursing home, rehab, hotel lobby, school, coffee shop, library, bookstore, restaurant or other agreed upon location.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
Signers will need to show the notary their original unexpired government issued picture ID such as a driver's license, DMV state ID card, passport or military ID as satisfactory evidence of identification. (We do not accept paper copies of IDs or pictures of IDs saved to cell phones or computers). Signers should have their own witnesses (adults, unrelated to signer and each other, who are not named as the attorney-in-fact or agent. One witness for each witness line on the document - two lines means two witnesses available at signing if document requires it.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The price of a notary service in Alabama is $5. Our base travel rate for notary services is $25. The actual cost quoted can vary depending on the number of signers, the number of documents, your location, what you need to have notarized, the time of day, and how flexible on the timing you are. To start this gentleman went above and beyond when I needed him the most! I reached out to Greg on a Friday at 3:30. He answered my call on the first ring. I explained the need for a notary to come to my parents assisted living facility to notarize a document. Their facility has a notary who will not perform the service for residents. Thank goodness for this service in a situation like ours!
